UCSA

From the moment a student signs on and moves into UCU, they automatically become a member of our very own student association, the University College Student Association. The purpose of the UCSA is to contribute to the non-academic life of University College students. As members of the association, not only do you benefit from the events and information, but you are crucial to the continual motion of the association’s goals!

Joining a committee is an ideal way to plug yourself into campus life, which is driven by the accomplishments and passions of your peers and yourself. Each team or committee has their own subject of interest and will organize events based on those criterion throughout the year. If you realize that your extra-academic interests aren’t well represented by an existing group, you have the possibility of organizing and proposing a brand new committee.

The body to overlook and support all of these committees is the UCSA Board, consisting of six members: a chairperson, a secretary, a treasurer and three committee affair officers (CAO’s).

Apart from allocating the annual budget, the Board also accomplishes many other things; one of which is to organise the Introduction Week. The Board is always available for questions, comments, or remarks. If you have any such needs, please come and see us in the boardroom (downstairs in Dining Hall) or find us in your class, your unit, or Dining Hall; the UCSA College Bar is rumoured to host a board member or two when the lights are just right…
