UCU Career Conference

The UCU Career Conference 2010 will take place on April 14, at 14.00 hrs.

We will have a host of interesting firms and speakers in workshops, round table discussions and a networking lounge. Companies and speakers will be represented for majors from all departments: social science, science and humanities.

The schedule of the day is as follows:

14:00-14:30 reception
14:30-15:15 keynote address
15:30-17:00 1st round workshops
17:15-18:45 2nd round workshops
18:45-20:00 “walk-through” dinner and drinks

Please note that there is an extra possibility to participate in the McKinsey inhouseday (click here) that will take place the friday after the UCU Career Conference (April 16). If you wish to apply, please send your CV to ucu.careerconference@gmail.com.

Note: the first workshop of the Career Conference overlaps with the second workshop of the Law Conference. If you are also participating in the Law Conference, please select “Law Conference” as your preference in workshop round 1.

Dear students,

Hereby, we would like to cordially invite you to the TLP Conference 2010. This will be an international law conference at UCU and will bring together highly distinguished speakers and excellent students.

The theme ‘Human Rights in the Corporate World’ is aimed at both the student interested in human rights law and/or in corporate law. Speakers are Prof. mr. C.C van Dam (King’s College, Queen Mary), Prof. mr. A. Dorresteijn (UU), Prof. D. Ellis (Washington University), Prof. mr. I. Giesen (UU), Prof. mr. J. Goldschmidt (UU) and Dr. T. Lambooij (UU). After the included lunch there will be interactive workshops by and with these speakers.

Dearest, most beautiful UCSA Members,

Even though it breaks our gentle little hearts, the time has come for a new generation of great leaders, great thinkers and great Turks to step up to the plate and claim a position in the UCSA Board 2010-2011!

You might think you are the right candidate for the job, all-knowing of what happens on our beautiful campus, and ready to finally fulfill your life-long dream of building a giant swimming pool on the quad (including slide).

Think again.

So if you are worthy of serving our grand association, run in a race which not many can win and face a GA that has slaughtered millions of innocent UCSA Board candidates.

A couple more days are left until the lovely Christmas break…However, after the break the Spring introweek will take place!! This is your chance to take part in Introweek as parents of the sweet newbies. This week, filled with awesome activities, will take place from the 25^th till the 31^st of January. We would like you to send a short motivation letter to the UCSA email account (ucu.ucsa@uu.nl

). In this motivation letter you have the opportunity to show in what way you are involved on campus and why you would make a great parent.Please sign up as parents in groups of three.
The deadline for signing up is Saturday 19^th of December
